Hamare Saath Chalon (Let’s Walk Together) is a film on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Using the traditional informative style of Narration, the film follows the work of several organizations in an urban and rural mosaic. The film traverses through the by lanes of Dakshin Puri and Govind Puri on the outskirts of Delhi and takes you on a journey to Gujarat, into the lives of PWDs many of them children, and shows how various NGOs are implementing programs for their inclusion into society in all aspects pertaining to their Rehabilitation, Inclusion in Government Health Services, Inclusive Education, Inclusive Livelihood training programs and formation of Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs).


The work of several organizations is showcased in the 6 part film so that the models that they have built up for inclusion can be shared with others. The organizations featured are Arth-Aastha, Amar Jyoti, Samarthyam and Samadhan in Delhi and Blind People’s Association, Ashirwad Disability Trust, CBM South Asia Regional office, Handicap International, Saath, and Sense International in Gujarat. In addition the Government Spine Institute, Ahmedabad’s work has also been featured.
